BDB Law, in partnership with the Management Association of the Philippines, kicks off its Breakfast Dialogue Series with a discussion on the priority programs of the Second Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM II) to address the country's urgent needs/concerns on education. EDCOM II Co-Chair Sen. Win Gatchalian, provided key figures reflecting the current state of the educational system, the factors that lead to it, and the government's current actions and future plans to address the issue at hand. Dr. Vic Limlingan, a private sector management expert presented his views on managing the education department complementing that of Sen. Gatchalian.
The key take-away from this forum points to a need for closer collaboration and partnership of the public and private sectors in key undertakings to address the current education crisis in the country.
The breakfast dialogue is a series of closed-door huddle of government officials and business leaders to discuss burning issues of the day, explore areas for cooperation and be enlightened on game-changing policy directions. The meeting was attended by select participants from the MAP education and communications committee, representatives from the education sector, and business leaders.
